Kogin sashimi kit hydrangea new color
◆Kogin Sashimi Kit Hydrangea New Color Hydrangea Kit, we have already introduced it on the blog , but today we will introduce the new color . Around Mother's Day, I asked my husband what his mother's favorite flowers were, and he replied, "I don't know anything about flowers, but I've heard that she likes English gardens." So, I decided to make the hydrangea design look like an English garden .
Hydrangeas have started blooming all over Yokohama since last week. Some plants bloom in multiple colors even on the same plant, giving the city a plump and gentle color.
It's so much fun to feel like the garden is expanding every time you pierce each piece (basic pattern). The fabric is Olympus linen, and the thread is a familiar handiwork fan.
Difficulty level is 1. In the photo below, I used Congress fabric , but this time I wanted to reduce the presence of the fabric as much as possible and create a piece where you could feel the volume of the thread, so I chose Olympus linen. I will explain the materials in detail later, but since it is light and the thread is delicate, it goes perfectly with the fluffy threads of handicraft enthusiasts.
(The fabric is from Congress, the navy blue thread is from Olympas, and the rest is from a fan of handwork)
◆Material introduction (only the fabrics introduced this time)
Olympus linen (linen)
There are several linen fabrics for kogin embroidery, but they are by far the lightest (comparison: Douel, Tsukiya Azabu, Daruma, Fancy Heshan, Dublin...). The fineness of the fabric is almost the same as the Congress, but the threads of the fabric are so thin that you feel like you don't have it. The pattern is in equal proportions. It is different from other kogin cloths, so it is a cloth that you should try at least once. It looks like it would be a good idea to make it into a noren curtain or something like that.
