Kogin sashimi kit 1

◆Skill up kit 1
In the introduction to Kogin Kit , I mentioned that Satonobo's Kogin Sashi Kit has two courses : a skill improvement kit and a seasonal enjoyment kit . Today I will talk about Skill Up Kit 1. (It will be written as kit 1)
This is the same design asthe starter kit . Kit 1 has been out of stock for nearly 3 years. The reason is simple: I wanted Kit 1 to include starter kit elements . However, three years after the kit was first sold, the kogin-zashi skills of our repeat customers have improved, so we thought it would be better for our customers to separate it from the starter kit.
However, when we actually started selling the product, we saw many repeat customers ordering the starter kit, and we realized that it was a good idea to offer two options. ( I think the starter kit is also useful for experienced users to gain a sense of understanding and gain a new perspective .)

◆Difficulty level and points

Difficulty level is 1. I think the combination of cloth and thread goes well together.
It is completed in small stacks, so even first-time users can enjoy it with confidence.

◆Material introduction
Congress (cotton cloth)
Since the weaving threads are difficult to move, the stitching feels stiff. I think it's rare for someone to stab the wrong step. I feel that pilling is less likely to occur when making items that are subject to a lot of rubbing, such as bags.

Handmade fan hand-dyed kogin thread
The matte texture gives it a casual look. The coloring is not too strong, and the threads do not fight with each other when you enjoy using multiple colors. The number of appearances in the Satonobo kit is the highest. Personally, there are no fabrics that go well with each other; either fabric is easy to embroider.

What you can experience (the more experience you have, the more opportunities you have to enjoy Koginzashi)
⚪︎Stab a small modoko (basic pattern) individually ⚪︎Place modoko of the same size but with different patterns next to each other ⚪︎Stab a modoko that requires a little brain ⚪︎Stab a continuous pattern of small modoko diagonally ⚪︎Enjoy color combinations ⚪︎Learn about the characteristics of Congress (100% cotton) cloth ⚪︎Learn about the characteristics of kogin thread used by handwork enthusiasts ⚪︎Learn that ironing will make your work look neat ⚪︎Learn the joy of seeing it every day when you hang it in your room

I'm sure there are many more, but I think that by enjoying one small kit, Kogin-zashi will become closer to your daily life.
