Yesterday I introduced the paperback size cover . Today, we would like to introduce a new book size (also available as a new book size manga book) with the same design.
The cloth is koginbank's original kogin cloth, the thread is hand-dyed kogin thread, and the thickness cannot be adjusted. As with the paperback version, this time we will make use of the width of the fabric.
Difficulty level is 2. The difficulty level of the design is the same as the paperback size, but since it is a type that does not require adjustment, it is much easier to tailor.
The composition and perspective of the pattern are carefully explained in the kit's instructions, so once you've been aware of your current location and can see the rhythm of the pattern (repeated parts, etc.), you can rest assured. Please enjoy it in a relaxed manner as if you are thinking about the design.
The tailoring is simple, but like the paperback book, the tailoring method is explained in detail with photos. I'm sure even people like me who aren't confident in sewing will be able to complete it.

This is a kogin cloth made of cotton material with a slightly vertical pattern. This book cover will be tailored using the width of the cloth, which is a supple cloth that teaches us what ``threading '' is. It goes perfectly with the kogin thread for handwork fans, both in terms of color and material.
Handmade fan hand-dyed kogin thread
It is a thread that contains air and has a gentle impression, so it is attractive because it is comfortable to sew on any fabric and can be embroidered smoothly. The coloring is also muted, making this thread recommended for those who enjoy using multiple colors.

◆Production secrets
As I mentioned in yesterday's blog, this design was used as a return gift for koginbank's crowdfunding, but originally a family member requested that I make a manga book cover kit as a birthday present... It was something I had started producing. We came up with a design that was traditional but would be accepted by children.
We are still receiving requests for book-sized covers, but they understand that they cannot come up with a design right away, so we are just being spoiled by their words, ``We will wait as long as it takes for years.'' After receiving a request, the request will remain in my head until it is completed, and ideas will come to me at random times, so I cannot immediately give you an answer as to whether or not it will be possible to make it into a kit, but please feel free to let me know your wishes in the future. I would be happy if you could. I always feel that there are so many things that I can't create on my own.
