Kogin Circle 2025[15]
◆ Kogin Circle 2025 [15] Introduction to activities in November and December One question was posted in November, and I shared my question at the end. Circle activities will end on December 14th, and until January 31st, we will have a period to look back on the questions and answers so far. Thank you to everyone who participated. In December, members continued to post their works together, which made for a wonderful end to the month.

[033] Questions from members (November 10th)
I'd like to know what it is that you all like about Kogin embroidery.
▶A lot of thoughts were collected. Reading them again, I feel that although each perspective is slightly different, there is also a deep commonality.
■ The joy of learning about the background and historySome people said that the appeal of Kogin embroidery is that you can enjoy it more deeply by learning about not only the patterns but also the history, local characteristics, and cultural background.Embroidery is found all over the world, but there can be a language barrier when trying to learn about the local area and culture.Even so, visiting the birthplace and connecting with friends who share the same passion can further expand the enjoyment.
■ Infinite expressions born from simplicityMany people mentioned how "the accumulation of simple patterns becomes a complex, large pattern."What starts out as just a line turns into a pattern with each stitch, and it's exciting and fascinating to watch. The same design can take on completely different expressions depending on the stitcher and the color combination, which is unique to Kogin embroidery.
■ A time to clear your mind and calm your nerves We have received many comments such as, "It clears my mind" and "My mind becomes calm when I'm needlework."
The time spent steadily moving the needle is a time to let go of thoughts and become "empty." Some people sympathized, saying that even if they make mistakes, they keep working hard, and when they finish stitching, they feel a great sense of accomplishment, but also a little bit of loneliness.
■ Depth and a sense of accomplishmentAlthough the technique itself is simple, the preparation time required to choose a design, consider the colors of the thread and fabric, and imagine the overall picture is very freeing, yet at the same time daunting. That is why a full-stitched piece directly reflects the patience and passion of the person who embroidered it.Attracted by this depth, some people never get bored no matter how much they embroider, and feel that it is a hobby they would like to continue for the rest of their lives.
What emerged once again was that Kogin embroidery is not just a "pattern," but a handicraft that also incorporates "time," "process," and "people's feelings." There is no end, and the expression is infinite. The feelings of all the members made me feel even more the depth of Kogin embroidery.
◆Finally, thank you to everyone who has been involved with our club activities over the past 10 months. We look forward to interacting with you again in 2026. We will let you know as soon as our activities are decided, so we appreciate your continued support.
