We have introduced the Doll's Festival Kit 2021 and 2022 . Today is 2023. This design was inspired by a lecture held at the Asahi Culture Center Yokohama classroom in January 2023. Koginzashi kits to enjoy the season are often given as gifts, but the Doll's Festival kit is especially popular as a gift, along with helmet decoration kits.
The cloth is koginbank original kogin cloth, and the thread is hand-dyed kogin thread.

Difficulty level is 1. Since this was a course aimed at complete beginners , the design of previous Hinamatsuri kits was simplified to allow students to experience the basics of Kogin-zashi, and the support system in case you run into any problems with the instructions makes this kit as safe asa starter kit . . The difficulty level is 1 in terms of materials such as ease of handling the cloth and compatibility with the thread.

The height (tightness?) of each thread makes it easy to see the grain and weaving threads, and the pliability makes it easy to thread, making this kogin cloth easy on the eyes and hands for beginners. Since this is a course for beginners , I decided on this fabric from the beginning.

Handmade Fan Hand-dyed Kogin Thread We use Handmade Fan's thread for all color schemes, and there is no color conflict as there is a rich variety of colors and the color development is moderate. It goes well with koginbank's fabrics, and by simply flipping the yarn and threading it, you can create a piece with a smooth surface.

◆Secret story behind the production As always, this time I just stitched it, put it in the embroidery frame, and shaped it as I wanted. This time I decided to use an embroidery hoop instead of the usual rectangular frame, so I had to redo things like the balance of the margins and how to use the side patterns many times, and I learned a lot during production .
On the day of the course, I was asked a lot of questions in front of me, and I am filled with gratitude to the people in charge of the Asahi Culture Center who gave me the opportunity to experience this. Thank you again to everyone who participated and had a great time.
